I had the pleasure of visiting New Orleans this past weekend with my husband. It was great to get away and enjoy a much needed vacation. This was my first time to New Orleans and it didn’t disappoint. There is so much to see and do. The various neighborhoods all have their own flair and can range from a quiet stroll in the Garden District to bar hopping in the French Quarter. The food scene is outrageous and I love trying new things. I even ate alligator…I know, it sounds a bit odd but it really tastes just like chicken. There were so many restaurants and bars that I wanted to try but I couldn’t get to all of them. This is definitely a city I look forward to returning to.
It was so nice and warm in New Orleans. Being from Miami, I enjoy the warmth and am still getting used to the cold in New York. We started our day with brunch in the Warehouse District at Chochon Restaurant and headed to the Garden District to stroll around and see all the Victorian architecture. We then headed to Audobon Park and went Uptown for drinks at Cure. I wore these colorful Nanette Lepore shorts with a light and airy Theory blouse. I love to wear heels but I knew I would be walking for hours so I pulled out these flats by Aerosoles which are so cute to me and actually do have a slight heel on them.
xo,
Andrea
