Today is my 2nd wedding anniversary and since we have a trip planned for later in April, we wanted to do something low key to celebrate. Since I moved to New York, I haven’t had the opportunity to venture out to all the many towns that are within driving distance. We decided to take a road trip to Hudson, New York. The years have gone by so quickly and I feel as though I have been so busy and haven’t had as much down time as I would have liked. With that said, my husband and I just wanted to take a relaxing trip where we could just enjoy each others time.
We got to Hudson, early Saturday and checked into where we would be staying. The main plan was to relax and unwind. That is just what we did. We drove over to the Olana State Historic site and walked around its vast landscape. The house was quite majestic and the views were incredible. From there we walked along Warren Street and found a great pizza spot, Baba Louie’s. Their pizza’s are delicious and my mouth is watering just thinking about them. Afterwards, we ventured into a few antique shops and then headed back to where we were staying. We stayed in and enjoyed a movie. Even as simple as it was, I feel like we don’t really get the opportunity to sit back and to these things when we are home. This trip is just what I needed!
It was chilly up there in Hudson so I made sure to pack a warm sweater. We were going to be walking around mainly so I kept it very casual. As you know, I love to wear white so I threw on my cropped white jeans, slip on sneakers and this leather jacket for extra warmth. This was a simple outfit that can easily be thrown together.
Thank you for reading,
Andrea
