My girlfriends have always been a big part of my life. That girl time means so much to me. These bonds are important. My girlfriends have always been a source of support and understanding. My friends from my hometown in Miami
are a huge part of my life. I miss them dearly but I am lucky to have made strong female relationships here in New York as well. As much as I love spending time with my husband, there is nothing like girl time!
Even as my life changes and I enter into new stages such as motherhood, it is important to keep these relations in tact. Some women become moms and feel as though they have nothing in common with their single friends anymore. Fortunately for me, I don’t feel that way. I became connected with my friends, for one reason or another, regardless if they have children or not. I may not be able to go to every party or event with them but when I am able, I make sure to attend every outing. Also, I am still the same person who lives in Astoria and loves fashion. That hasn’t changed so I don’t see why my friendships would. I may have more going on an my life than I did before but it is just more for me to share with these incredible woman. I love spending time with my family but having this time just for me is essential. This allows me to recharge and gives me an opportunity to talk about other things going on in the world than just what is happening at home.
I love our dinners and happy hours and I love dressing up to meet up with my girls! On one occasion I wore this red dress with my over the knee boots. I absolutely love these Stuart Weitzman boots. They are gorgeous and comfortable. These boots go with so many pieces in my closet. If I could, I would wear them every day! I also love this red color and wished I had more pieces like it. Even though this dress was loose it was still flattering. What do you like to wear for girls night out?
