Astoria Finds: Prince Tea House

Valentine’s Day is approaching and I have found the cutest spot to take your significant other or your Galentine!  Prince Tea House, located on 31-47 Steinway Street, is a very well decorated tea room.  As soon as you walk in, you quickly notice how dainty this Astoria location is.
  It is well lit with a variety of seating options, from large banquets to smaller round tables.  The decor is modern yet cozy.  The back wall is adorned with potted plants and hanging light bulbs were along the sides.  This elegant room was crowded and we were lucky to get a table right away.  It is very relaxing there and I can see how easy it would be to spend hours there without even realizing it.  You can see that the customers that were already in there were having a nice time and were in no hurry to leave.  At the same time, we never felt rushed.       

We ordered from their extensive tea list and it was served in an adorable tea setting.  The teapot and teacups are adorable and now I want to get a set for my home.  Service was great and they were very helpful since I had the baby with me.  The tea was delicious as well as the smoked salmon sandwich that I ordered.  This is the perfect place to get in from the cold.  I didn’t order dessert but this just gives me a reason to head back even sooner.  I am really looking forward to going back to Prince Tea House!
